The Dark Moon is the quietest, most inward phase of the lunar cycle. This is a powerful time for deep rest, release, and renewal—mirroring the natural world’s cycles of pause and regeneration.

When we honour the Dark Moon, we create space to let go of what we no longer need, listen to our inner wisdom, and plant seeds for the new beginnings to come. This practice supports not only our bodies, but also our minds and spirits.

Here’s a simple process you can try:

Find a quiet space and allow yourself to pause.

Reflect: What feels heavy or outdated? What are you ready to release?

Write it down or speak it aloud—naming what you’re letting go of.

Rest. Give yourself full permission to do less.

Set a gentle intention for the new cycle ahead.

Journal prompts to guide you: – What am I ready to let go of?
– Where do I need more rest or softness?
– What quiet dreams are stirring beneath the surface?

Remember, it’s not always about action—sometimes our greatest transformation comes from stillness.

Women’s lives move in seasons, just like the Earth.

You may have noticed—our lives don’t run in a straight line.

Instead, we move through cycles and stages that mirror the natural world:

Spring (Maiden): Girlhood, new beginnings, curiosity

Summer (Mother/Creatrix): Blossoming, nurturing, creativity

Autumn (Maga): Harvest, wisdom, leadership, letting go

Winter (Crone): Elderhood, deep rest, reflection, inner knowing

These seasons shape not just our bodies, but our energy, roles, and ways of seeing the world.

We’re always shifting—sometimes quickly, sometimes over years—from one inner season to the next.

Here’s the wisdom:

You don’t have to be at the mercy of these cycles.

You can choose to notice where you are and work with the season you’re in, instead of pushing against it.
