The purpose of the Workshop Apprentice Program is to nurture and ‘grow’ Teachers, able to deliver their own programs or be able to work under the School of Shamanic Womancraft umbrella as workshop facilitators.
The Workshop Apprentice is a graduate of the School of Shamanic Womancraft, awake to the transformational potential of the inner shamanic journey inherent in the ongoing cycle of everything. She is able and prepared to ‘hold the space’ for others, fulfilling her role as required.
The Workshop Apprentice programs are intended to contribute to the missions of ‘spreading the word’, ‘raising consciousness’ and to participate in the healing of the feminine.
They seek to support healing, individually and collectively. Each individual is honoured as both student and teacher, able to share equally in the giving and receiving of the community.
The Workshop Apprentice programs are a further extension of the School’s mission to enable eldership and leadership, holding a unique space for each woman to know and claim her own sovereignty.
As a Workshop Apprentice you are a representative of the School of Shamanic Womancraft. It is important that we are “walking our talk” and being the healed feminine in all that we do and in our interactions in the world both within and without of our circle work.
Moonsong is a workshop for women from menarche onward, sitting together in a circle, reconnecting with feminine knowledge, and remembering the wisdom of the cycles.
Using the circle and the ever-repeating cycle of menstruation, moon phases, life and earth seasons, participants reconnect to a wisdom and inner knowing that forms the basis of the experience of being female.
Practical information and creative and transformational processes will be shared to reconnect us to our inner wisdom and the magic that is the essence of female-ness – the blood mysteries, the spiritual practice of menstruation, the rites of passage of the menarche, childbirth, and menopause.
Shamanic Dimensions of Pregnancy is a workshop for women who are pregnant or planning to be, for birthworkers and birth keepers, and for women birthing themselves, their projects, art, careers and their lives in whatever form!
How do you birth? What is your Birth Story?
With prior preparation contemplating our life experiences, we will do some shamanic processes to understand the origins of our beliefs, attitudes, and fears around birth, seeing the connection between how we were born, our menarche (first period) and the stories about the women in our family, as well as any experiences of pregnancy and giving birth we have had so far.
We will create a fire ritual, release our fears, journey with the drum to meet the baby, soul baby, inner goddess or creative self to seek guidance and clarity.
The curriculum is delivered via three face-to-face gatherings and an online home study course. Workshop Apprentices will experience the workshop learning material in person at individual workshops as well as home study practices through a comprehensive online program, allowing for a deeper exploration of the material.
The Workshop Apprenticeship Program is open to SSW Graduates who wish to learn how to become a facilitator of Moonsong (MS), Shamanic Dimensions of Pregnancy (SDP), or Autumn Woman, Harvest Queen (AWHQ).
