Autumn Woman, Harvest Queen

Harness the transformational powers of Menopause: After Mother, before Crone, is the time of the Mage, the Harvest Queen.

What is Autumn Woman, Harvest Queen?

Autumn Woman, Harvest Queen is a one-day workshop in which to explore (PERI-)MENOPAUSE as a powerful rite of passage in a woman’s life, often feared and misunderstood.

As our fertility wanes, we move from the Summer season of our lives to the Autumn. This is a time to CLAIM our harvest, EMBODY our wisdom and LEAD our communities!

This Workshop Will Help You:

  • Explore the transformative power of Menopause and your earlier rites of passage
  • Unpack fears and ‘cultural baggage’ around changing bodies and aging
  • Renegotiate your health, your work-life balance, your relationships, your sexuality, your lifestyle…
  • Appreciate your embodied wisdom and embrace the new person you are becoming in this energetic upgrade!

Why Menopause?

All our rites of passage are powerful initiatory processes, and menopause is particularly potent.

Through this journey we are called to re-examine, and reflect on our life thus far, so that we can step into this powerful life season of Mage, crafting our soul purpose.

In this workshop we celebrate you, and your journey to the Altar of Transformation that is menopause.

The dance with your hormones, your bodies, and your emotions are given a sacred context which empowers you to navigate this part of your life with clarity and consciousness

Self-care practices are embedded within the day, as how we care for ourselves now shows up through the rest of our lives.

Join us to reclaim this powerful rite of passage , and to become your own Autumn Woman, Harvest Queen!

“At menarche a young woman enters her power, throughout her menstruating years she practices her power, and at menopause she becomes her power.”

Native American Saying

Workshop Structure

An Autumn Woman Harvest Queen workshop begins with the creation of a safe container, the sacred circle which holds us all throughout the day.  In this co-created space we ground and center. We pass the talking bowl, to listen, to share and to reflect.

We allow our stories, bodies and presence to carry us into full feeling, whether that be grief, joy, pleasure, pain, delight, shame… knowing that all of these experiences are pathways that lead us home to ourselves.

And Menopause is a home-coming, a profound journey to Self.

Much of the wisdom of menopause has been buried and seems lost. And yet, within your own body, within the wisdom of your menstrual cycle, there is a profound map to guide you through this powerful Rite of Passage.

In this workshop we co-create the wheel of life and chart the changing seasons, energies, feelings and opportunities of each phase.

Then we dive deeper into the particular medicine of the Autumn season and the Maga archetype, her powers and potential, so that you can reframe and celebrate the deep bodied wisdom and power of menopause.

Menopause, like any rite of passage, is an ‘altar of transformation,’ a threshold on the lifelong journey of becoming more uniquely and distinctly YOU!

At this altar you meet yourself, those parts that may have been exiled, those parts that show up again and again to teach you what you need to know, and those parts of you calling to be born anew.

What needs to be renegotiated and transformed so that you can become your own Sovereign Self?

The body holds much wisdom for this menopausal journey. In this part of the workshop you are invited to let your hands create, and your body move to the wisdom within.

Creative play with clay, with dance and drumming are openings to deeper consciousness of your lived experiences, and offer transformational opportunities of release and rebirth.

Self care is essential to the easeful transition within and through menopause. In this workshop, we share stories and insights about many of the important self-care practices available to you. By the end of the day, you’ll have many more tools and possibilitiesto adapt to your unique situation!

We reflect on ways of claiming the power of Maga, of your sexuality and life force. We are nourished by the voices of each other, pooling our stories of loss and transformation, and sharing the resources and perspectives that help us in this journey.

Jane Hardwicke Collings

Founder of the School of Shamanic Womancraft • Creator of Moonsong, Shamanic Dimensions of Pregnancy and Autumn Woman Harvest queen workshops • co-creator of Winter Woman, Bone Wisdom Workshop • Grandmother

My interest in bringing and offering this information is to help how I can in healing the wounded feminine and the wounded masculine of our patriarchal culture.

My mission is to help women reclaim feminine knowledge and wisdom, to help heal birth, menarche, menstruation, menopause and death, for all my relations.

I represent three lineages:

Home birth Midwifery –  ancient wise woman practices passed down the generations that I learned from Maggie Lecky Thompson (Australia).

EarthSong (Boulder, Colorado, USA) Shamanic Teachings and Practices – that I learned from James Harvey (AKA BlackBear) and Cedar Barstow.

Shamanic Midwifery – the teachings and insights of the Late Jeannine Parvati Baker (USA).

Jane was a Registered Practising Homebirth Midwife for 32 years (1984–2016) in the NSW Health System, Australia.

I am a Mother, Grandmother and a lover of the ocean and wild nature.

I facilitate rites of passage, circles, and workshops for women — weaving together archetype work, embodiment, somatic and shamanic practices into a living, breathing container for transformation. My work is grounded in the wild, the sacred, and the cyclical — honouring the natural rhythms of a woman’s life and the deep wisdom that lives there. Whether you are in a season of transition, awakening, or simply longing to come home to yourself, this work meets you where you are.

I work with groups and privately in 1:1 sessions.

At the heart of my work is a passionate belief that every woman deserves to know her ecstatic birthright — and to live her fullest, most radiant potential.
